Talkeetna's airport is ten minutes up the road in the heart of town. Take off and find yourself circling the peak in about 25 minutes. Thrill to a mountain glacier landing that you will never forget. A nearby float plane lake offers bush pilots who will fly you to otherwise inaccessible parts of the Alaskan wilderness where you can hike, fish, bear view.
Drive or train to Denali National Park

Drive two and a half hours north and explore the tundra and wildlife of famous Denali National Park. You can ride the park bus tours for half a day or all day. During summer you have plenty of daylight to return the same night before the Midnight Sunset. Or you can stay overnight near Denali to return at your leisure for more adventures in Talkeetna. Remember, slow down for moose! You can also take the train from Talkeetna.
